Congratulations to my beautiful cousin Amber Brennan, 17, who won the Miss Trinidad & Tobego New York pageant this past weekend. Amber, 17, is a high school graduate on her way to college to pursue a degree in Forensic Science. Amber, who does not know her Trinidadian biological father, hoped to use the pageant to connect to a cultural heritage she was denied and to find a part of her that is missing.
