The evening is a celebration of all the arts and culture of North West Denver put on by House District 4 and The Denver Dems to raise money and excitement promoting the election of Democratic candidates in 2008. It is also a sort of kick-off for all the festivities surrounding the DNC.
From 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. is family friendly complete with a performance by Dr. Noize and a kid open mic. The little ones are welcome to perform anything they like - they can tell a joke, do a dance, sing a song, perform a monologue or skit, anything! They are also welcome to bring samples of their art to hang in the kid art gallery.
The grown-up portion of the show begins at 6 p.m. with dance, theatre, improv, stand up comedy and musical acts. Please know that some of the acts starting around 6:30 may have adult language and themes. There will be a silent auction and art gallery in the lobby of The Oriental with lots of wonderful pieces to bid on.
