Adam Lambert becomes first out gay man with a No. 1 album

Former "American Idol" contestant Adam Lambert made history last week with his second album, which debuted at the top spot on Billboard’s U.S. albums chart. 

Lambert is the first openly gay man to achieve that milestone. 

Though other gay performers have reached No. 1 before coming out, none repeated the feat afterward.
