Human Rights Campaign pledges $1 million to marriage campaigns

The Human Rights Campaign announced last week it will send $250,000checks to four states where voters are set to face ballot questions this November on marriage rights for same-sex couples. The donations will fund efforts in Maine, Washington, Maryland and Minnesota.

"We are committed to making sure this is the year that our opponents can no longer claim Americans will not support marriage equality at the ballot box," said Chad Griffin, HRC's president.
