Supreme Court schedules oral arguments in marriage equality cases

The Supreme Court announced Thursday that it would hear oral arguments April 28 in cases challenging marriage equality bans out of four states. The justices set aside 2.5 hours of time to hear the cases, which center on marriage equality bans in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan and Tennessee. In a break from tradition, the court also announced that audio transcripts of the argument will be released the same day. Observers expect a ruling by the end of June.
