Transgender presidential appointee to lead Seattle's labor unit

Dylan Orr, who is openly transgender, was appointed the head of Seattle's Office of Labor Standards, where he will oversee the implementation of the city's new minimum wage law and efforts to protect workers from wage theft. Orr, who formerly worked at the U.S. Department of Labor, was the Obama administration's first openly transgender appointee.
