One Colorado: 67 Years ...

By Daniel Ramos, Executive Director, One Colorado

The House Judiciary Committee just voted to reauthorize the Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD), which exists to promote equal treatment of all Coloradans, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Coloradans. We need your help today to make sure a clean reauthorization of the Division makes it to the Governor’s desk.

While some politicians have made it clear they want to weaken the Division’s ability to defend civil rights – including a move by some Republicans to block its funding – our community has made our voices heard to defend the CCRD and ensure it continues as it was established in 1951.

Will you step up today and chip in $19.51 to ensure we can continue to defend the CCRD from attack?

All Coloradans have the right to be treated fairly and equally. The Colorado Civil Rights Division reaffirms this fundamentally American idea, and in its 67 years of existence, the Division has consistently protected Coloradans’ civil rights.

In honor of its creation in 1951, will you show your support for the CCRD by donating $19.51 to our efforts to defend it?

Some lawmakers want to make changes or water down the Division. Your gift will show those in the Capitol that our community doesn’t want the CCRD to be changed, weakened, or watered down. I ask you: please stand up for civil rights and click the button below to chip in $19.51.
