Volunteers Needed for AIDS Walk Colorado: Festival for Life

AIDSWalk Colorado is on the hunt for amazing volunteers this summer! One of the events they still need help with is CHN’s Beer Bust at The Triangle which will take place on Sunday, July 15. This is a fun and accessible way to get the word out while mingling with just about everyone!

Sign up here to volunteer for Beer Bust at The Triangle!

On Saturday, August 18 at CHN’s AIDS Walk Colorado- A Festival for Life & 5K Walk and Run will take place at Cheesman Park. This is where YOU come in. Volunteer slots include:

Set/Up Route Monitor: Help with final set up of all areas of the park before attendees arrive. Set up Timeline Banners - Ensure the safety of all the participants along the route, motivate and cheer on all walkers and runners, move barricades, maintain road closures, clean up route area following the last walkers. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Pedestrian Monitors: Provide assistance to all runners and walkers along the route. Ensure that attendees follow the correct, marked path.

Registration Tent – Walkers: Help set- up – Be the first face that participants see on the morning of AIDS Walk Colorado - Welcome attendees to the event, accept donation envelopes and pledge forms, distribute fundraising incentive awards.

Traffic Control: Secure the roads into the park, maintain barricades, and assist in directing traffic for afternoon drive-on for sponsors, vendors, teams, and volunteers. This is a very quiet shift that is necessary to maintain the event’s safety but involves a lot of sitting. Reading materials are encouraged.

Each of these positions come with mingling and networking with fellow volunteers and CHN staff, volunteering for the Rocky Mountain region’s oldest HIV/AIDS one day fundraiser event, and yes, a t-shirt (Because everyone loves a t-shirt!).
