My two cents on the Anderson Cooper cheating scandal

So by now we've all seen the pics of Anderson Cooper's alleged boyfriend Ben Maisani allegedly cheating on him by making out with some hottie in the park. Now sources say that Anderson has allegedly thrown the bum out of the house.

I don't claim to know anything about their lives but I do know this, Anderson Cooper is better off without Mr. Maisani because dude is a terrible kisser.

Look at the above photo. It's ridiculous. There is absolutely no call for one to just unhinge their jaw at any point during a make-out session like that. Even at the absolute height of the throes of passion your mouth should not be open that wide. Terrible. Mr. Maisani's head has stress lines on it in three different places, he's exerting himself so much. No one deserves that kind of treatment.

Whoo-hoo! Vicious anti-gay Arkansas school board member resigns on Anderson Cooper 360

Good news, everyone! The vicious Clint McCance, appearing on 'Anderson Cooper 360' on CNN last night, announced that he will resign from the Midland School Board. The controversy erupted when McCance unleashed a disgusting anti-gay tirade on Facebook in response to a rash of bullying-related suicides. 

Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese issued the following statement:
"Clint McCance's decision to resign from the school board is a step forward for the community he represents. We are hopeful the wounds that were inflicted will soon be healed," said HRC President Joe Solmonese. "What remains troubling is that Mr. McCance focused his regret on particular word choices not the animus behind those words. We hope he will take this time to reflect not only on the language he used but on what he can do to make the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning young people better."

CO Rep. Jared Polis offers to help find anti-gay Senate staffer

Colorado's own openly gay U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., last week told CNN's Anderson Cooper he'd help Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., find the staffer who posted a blog comment last week urging the death of all gay people. Chambliss' office confirmed the posting originated in the senator's Atlanta office.

"It couldn't be easier. If they can't figure it out, I will go down there myself and do it for them," computer-whiz Polis said.

Personally, it makes me pretty angry.

First of all, I think a religious ceremony at the inauguration is completely inappropriate because of a little thing called separation of church and state. One of the reasons for the existence of the separation of church and state is just so the personal religious convictions of people in power doesn't serve to disenfranchise other Americans who might have different religious convictions or even none at all.

Second, I think Obama's defense of this guy is a pretty big f**k you to the GLBT community. But I guess it's not surprising, he's got a history of being in bed with these kinds of anti-gay religious figures.
