By John Hill

Happy New Year!

I’m a big believer in looking back to see where we’ve been as we look forward to new opportunities and adventures, so every year I tally up my favorite music from the past 12 months post it for all to see. To Do List: Vote Craig C in the Rufus Wainwright Remix Competition

The Rufus Wainwright Bitter Tears Remix Competition ends today at 5pm and Denver's own Craig C needs your votes to take the top spot and snatch that metaphorical trophy.

Says Craig C., "I subscribe to this group called indaba music and when I found out about the Rufus Wainwright remix contest I just had to do it. I usually don't have a lot of time for this kind of thing but I'm such a big Rufus fan that I forced myself to find the time."

Craig C's remix (Craig C's Master Blaster) started out in 58th place before reaching a peak of #2. He's now chilling at the #3 spot but MileHighGayGuy wants to make sure this local boy goes all the way.

Why does Crag C deserve your vote?

"Well," says Craig C, "There are a lot of good remixes in the contest but I feel that I have an exceptional connection with Rufus because I'm such a big fan of his. And the song was produced by Mark Ronson who I also have a lot of respect for. What I tried to do with this remix was capture the musicality of Wainwright and blend it with the soul of Mark Ronson for a kind of '70s groove fusion with a new club feel. The contest ends at 5pm so please vote, vote, vote! Every vote counts and I would love to win."

Click here and cast your vote today before 5pm.
