Jason Stuart Premieres New Series on Gay Direct Channel

OUT TV and WOLFE have teamed up with out actor & comic JASON STUART and straight newbie PAUL ELIA to release their first series on the new YouTube channel GAY DIRECT. Both co-wrote, produced, and acted in the comedy/drama MENTOR. Stuart makes his directorial debut with this autobiographical series that's in the vein of LOUIE and CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. The show also stars and is co-produced by ALEXANDRA PAUL & filmmaker DAN RINGEY.

Out Actors Jason Stuart & Tank Burton Talk New Movie 'Love Is Strange'

LOVE IS STRANGE is a movie from filmmaker Ira Sachs about gay marriage and family showing up no matter what. Actors JASON STUART & TANK BURTON never crossed paths shooting on the set, but both actors have roles in the film. Stuart plays the friend marrying John Lithgow & Alfred Molina. Burton plays a gay cop with a wife & baby.  The film also stars Oscar winner Marisa Tomei.
 
Stuart says,  “We met when the movie screened at Sundance, and become fast friends. Tank is a sister from another mother! I’m a gay, Jewish white man living in Los Angeles. She’s a Christian, black lesbian in New York!”

Name-Dropping with Jason Stuart: New episode today

The new episode of Name-Dropping with Jason Stuart premieres today at AfterElton.com and features prolific character actor Jon Polito, who for the first time publicly talks about being gay in Hollywood. A veteran of more than 200 films and TV shows playing a lot of our favorite gangsters, Jon is most recognized for his work in five Coen Brothers films including 'Miller's Crossing', 'Barton Fink', and 'The Man Who Wasn't There'. He has worked with everyone in Hollywood from Marlon Brando to Billy Bob Thornton. Some of his film work includes 'Stuart Little', 'The Crow', 'Blankman', and 'The Freshman'. On the tube his fans know him best as "Silvio" from Seinfeld.

Name-Dropping with Jason Stuart

Name-Dropping with Jason Stuart debuted this past month on Logo Online, in the “After Elton” section, and the vote is in: Thumbs up from fans all over the world!

Jason received 1,000 emails and comments about the show. His first guest, Emmy-winner Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace and Sordid Lives, made viewers laugh ‘til they cried with his outrageous Hollywood stories.

The second show, with Peter Paige (Queer As Folk), is airing now.

Jason Stuart plays it straight!

Actor Jason Stuart is playing against type on the new comedy series 'Warren the Ape.' This openly gay actor is playing it straight as "Ira", the cellmate of a sock puppet celebrity "Warren", who is accused of being a skinhead when he’s really a Jewish accountant. In the “Anger Management” episode - Warren ends up in prison after destroying a miniature golf course. 'Warren the Ape' airs Monday Aug. 16th at 10:30pm on MTV.
