Hillcrest Brewing Co. in San Diego self-identifies as the first gay brewing company in the world. I take that to mean that some, if not all, of the owners and staff are gay and that they are aiming at a gay clientele.

San Diego gets Harvey Milk Street!

Exciting! A three-block section of a street in the Hillcrest neighborhood in San Diego has been renamed Harvey Milk Street. The city has also approved a request to install and fly a large rainbow flag nearby.

San Diego mayoral candidates tout LGBT credentials

Four mayoral candidates for San Diego -- two openly LGBT Republicans, a Democrat and an Independent -- faced off in front of an LGBT audience last week to burnish their credentials as advocates for equality. 

"I would not underestimate the power of electing and sending a message to San Diego and the United States to have a gay mayor," said District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, a Republican candidate for the city's top job.
