OUT on DVD/VOD: Downriver

Breaking Glass Pictures will release their latest LGBT title DOWNRIVER on VOD and DVD August 23, 2016. Reminiscent of Winter's Bone, DOWNRIVER is a chilling mystery from award-winning writer/director Grant Scicluna that courageously deals with loss, identity, trauma, and hard-won redemption.

James (Reef Ireland) has just been released from prison after serving time for drowning a little boy when he himself was just a child. The boy's body was never found, and James, guilt-ridden and still haunted by questions about what really happened that day, returns to the rural community where the crime took place and undertakes a quest to find the body. Along the way, he is confronted by bullies and sexual predators from his past, and the punishment he risks by breaking parole now pales next to the threat of violence from the shadowy characters emerging all around him.

OUT on DVD/VOD: Chemsex

Traversing an underworld of intravenous drug use and weekend-long sex parties, "Chemsex" tells the story of several men struggling to make it out of 'the scene' alive - and one health worker who has made it his mission to save them. While society looks the other way, this powerful and unflinching film uncovers a group of men battling with HIV, drug addiction and finding acceptance in a changing world.

“Chemsex holds back no punches, it is a visceral and honest look at a subculture that many are unaware of. This kind of unflinching story is synonymous with the Vice brand and Breaking Glass could not be more excited to work with them in bringing this powerful documentary to North American audiences,” says Michael Repsch, SVP of Sales & Distribution at Breaking Glass Pictures.

Breaking Glass is planning a VOD and DVD release for November 2016.

OUT on DVD/VOD: Beautiful Something

In Beautiful Something, Brian (Brian Sheppard) crashes and burns with each guy he meets, but does not understand why. Jim (Zack Ryan) is not afraid to break hearts - except when it comes to his forty-something lover, a renowned sculptor. It seems Drew (Colman Domingo, Fear the Walking Dead, Birth of a Nation) is more focused on his latest masterpiece than Jim. Meanwhile, Bob (John Lescault, Lincoln), cruises for hustlers in his white limo, searching for the thrill of lost love.

They comb the streets of the City of Brotherly Love, looking for connection - though often settling for the quick and dirty. But tonight, each will cross paths with the other, sending shockwaves through their lives.

Director Joseph Graham (Strapped) has created a retro-timeless vision of a sexually charged gay life that critics have called "carnal and cerebral...a compassionate, romantic drama" (Village Voice "Critic's Pick"), "erotically charged" (Hollywood Reporter), and a "feverish... romantic hunting ground" (New York Times).
