Monkey's Uncle Anniversary: Give 'em Wood

Monkey's Uncle Comedy Improv celebrates their 6th Anniversary with a special show on Monday, November 19th at Jazz@Jack's. The show will include the fast-paced, short-form comedy the group has enjoyed displaying for audiences since its inception and a few surprises. Monkey's Uncle is already putting together several new games and new character skits specifically for this show.
In order to set the evening of made-up fun apart from other shows, Monkey's Uncle has invited Rick and Alf, formerly of Oddville, to host. Monkey's Uncle feels their sense of dry and irreverent humor
will be the perfect compliment to the show. Also planned for the evening will be the unveiling of the group's new logo.
Monkey's Uncle is also hoping for gifts. "The traditional gift for the 6th anniversary is iron or candy," says the group's director, Howard Semones, "but we prefer the modern gifts and hope that everyone gives us wood."
Rounding out the group are Matt Wallington, Shari Myers, Matt Krupa and Larry Epstein. All members are very thankful to Jazz@Jack's for giving them a home and an outlet for their pent-up, oft-times inappropriate sense of humor appropriate for the 21 and older crowd the jazz club caters to. Monkey's Uncle performs there on the third Monday of each month. Get the rest of the scoop at
