I posted yesterday on the latest Mike Jones news. The former escort who brought down Colorado Springs evangelist Ted Haggard was in talks to appear on the lie-detector game show 'Moment of Truth' and possibly win $500,000 but turned down the opportunity.It didn't make sense to me because, last I heard, Jones needed both work and money. Not to mention that he does seem to have a penchant for the spotlight. I spoke to him on the phone a short while ago to try to clarify some things and here's what he had to say to me:
As for why he chose not to go on the show, Jones says, "Have you seen that show? You're not guaranteed any money so I could possibly publicly humiliate myself and walk away with nothing."
Regarding the lie-detector aspect of the show, he says, "I already took a polygraph test once and failed it."
On whether he is concerned about running into Ted Haggard now that Haggard is back in Colorado, Jones says, "Oh, no. I'm not worried about that at all. I'd be happy to talk to him."
As as for what he's up to these days, Jones says," I've got a couple projects in the works but nothing I can talk about right now."
So, does that clear everything up for everybody? Me either.
