Why our votes count

We all know that many in our community have faced discrimination. But its our youth who are often most affected. By voting and making our voices heard, we can ensure LGBT youth:

* Are receiving science-based education about sexuality and STD's.

* Have the opportunity to access information and resources through programs like Gay/Straight Alliances.

* Are treated with dignity and respect by faculty and staff at school, and are able to learn in a safe environment free from bullying and harrassment.

* Hear positive and factual messages about the LGBT community.

* Have the opportunity to grow up in a world where the laws include everyone, and where our legislative representatives affirm our rights and our community.

We're fortunate to have organizations like Inside/Out Youth Services, and as a community, we can do more. As active voters, we can make sure that LGBT youth have a voice! Together, we can ensure our legislators support LGBT youth and LGBT-inclusive families.
Join us at this year's LGBT Voter Reception to learn about November's Ballot Issues and to view a variety of candidate surveys. What's more - invite your friends and family! Together we can advance and defend civil and social equality for LGBT individuals and families in the Pikes Peak region.

OUT Voices. OUT Voting.

The Pikes Peak Region’s premier Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Voter Education Reception.
