Saying that "LGBT Americans have made, and continue to make, great and lasting contributions that continue tostrengthen the fabric of American society," President Obama has issues an official proclamation in honor of June being LGBT Pride Month in the United States. He goes on to say he is proud to be the first President to appoint openly LGBT candidates to Senate-confirmed positions in the first 100 days of an Administration and that he supports measures "to bring the full spectrum of equal rights to LGBT Americans."
