Working Effectively with the LGBTQ Community

The La Gente Unida newletter reports on a new training session on Friday, February 12 called 'Working Effectively with the LGBTQ Community'. The training will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gill Foundation office,2215 Market Street in Denver and is sponsored by the nonprofit Colorado Anti Violence Program (CAVP).

Featuring facilitators Crystal Middlestadt and Lynn Sprague, the training is open to service providers working primarily with survivors of intimate partner violence. The training will be an opportunity for service providers to increase knowledge and skills to ensure that their services are accessible to LGBTQ survivors. The registration fee ranges $10.00 to $30.00 per person on a sliding scale based on one’s income, but nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds.
