A quick Q&A with MileHi (and a brief but sexy David Hasselhoff interlude)

A quick Q&A with MileHi
by Drew Wilson

Their new CD, 'You're Beautiful, What's Your Heritage?,' is available now on iTunes and professional snowboarders-turned-rockstars JJ Thomas and Jeff Cormack, aka MileHi, will be available for your listening pleasure tomorrow night as part of the GYT Concert for a Cause presented by Planned Parenthood of the Rockies at 3 Kings Tavern. And tickets are only $5!

Drew: Do you guys think you're cooler than me because you're professional snowboarders and rockstars?
MileHi: No. Half of our time is spent wondering what the hell we are even doing and the other half we are actually doing it. So between doing what we are doing and questioning what we are doing, we don't really have any time to think or care about how cool anyone is.

How would you describe your music for someone who hasn't heard it?
It's our own little creation of electronic sounds combined with basic rock/pop songs. Similar to Iron Maiden ... but not really at all even close.

How did MileHi come about?
We have known each other since we were about 10 years old and we always had these ridiculous freestyles. We would just make up our own lyrics to everything. I (Jeff) have been a musician since I was a kid and have been writing music my entire life. So we just decided to mess around and make some funny music for our dumb freestyles.

Which of the two of you is the sexiest and why?
David Hasselhoff.

Why should people come see MileHi at the GYT Concert for a Cause on April 15?
Well, it's Tax Day so everybody wins. If you are getting a refund, come celebrate by drinking and dancing. If you owe money, come drinking and dancing to forget about it. More importantly, come out to support a great cause and raise awareness. The wonderful people at Planned Parenthood have organized an awesome event with a wide variety of live music and everyone involved is really looking forward to having a great time at the event.

For the entire month of April, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains will be offering STD information and encouraging awareness for testing. Check back often to learn more about GYT  (Get Yourself Tested!). GYT is about taking control of YOUR (sex) life by getting tested - and talking openly about it. Getting tested is easier than ever before. What are you waiting for?
