PBS presents 'Still'

"Still," a visually stunning new film produced by Colorado-based A Bar K Productions, tells the fascinating story of Clyfford Still, one of the founding artists of the Abstract Expressionist movement, and defines his indelible contributions to American art.

Though not as well known as his contemporaries Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko, Still was heralded as perhaps the most original of the Abstract Expressionists, yet deliberately turned his back on the art establishment at the height of his career.

The documentary reveals, for the first time, through interviews with leading art and social historians, contemporary artists, and former students, the compelling story of Still’s life, the evolution of his work, and the impact he made.

His extensive collection - over 800 paintings and 1500 works on paper, much of which has never been viewed before, will be housed at the Clyfford Still Museum opening in Denver on Friday, Nov. 18.

Don’t miss this important documentary that reveals the life of an extraordinary and enigmatic artist and celebrates his work.
