Gill Foundation announces Lance King as Vice President of Donor Resources

From Tim Sweeney, President and CEO of The Gill Foundation:

I am thrilled to announce that Lance King will join the Gill Foundation as Vice President of Donor Resources in early September. Lance will lead the foundation’s work with other institutional and individual donors, including our OutGiving program, building greater support for our grantees and the broader movement to advance equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.
Lance brings to the foundation 20 years of experience as a development professional—in higher education, healthcare, the arts, and as a consultant. His extensive experience in development has included campaigns that, combined, raised hundreds of millions of dollars. He is an excellent leader who has ably built teams and aligned diverse groups of people behind a common purpose. He has relationships across the country, as his work has taken him from Texas to New York and from Chicago to San Francisco.

Lance will be returning to Colorado, a state he once called home and where he served as Senior Vice President at the University of Colorado Foundation.

A Texas native, Lance is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, and he completed a post-graduate executive residency in nonprofit management in Washington, DC.

We couldn’t be more pleased that Lance has chosen to bring his remarkable talent, exceptional experience, and fresh energy and ideas to the Gill Foundation and the LGBT movement.
