The
Conservative Political Action Conference, long a gathering of the
right's brightest lights, is in danger of becoming irrelevant in part
because of its refusal to welcome gay conservative groups such as
GOProud, Jennifer Rubin writes.
"An older generation, tone deaf and out
of step with popular sensibilities, needs to hang it up," argues Rubin,
adding that a younger generation of libertarian-minded conservatives
could make the movement "cool."
