Peace Corps will take applications from same-sex couples

The U.S. Peace Corps will now accept joint assignment applications from same-sex couples. The couples will be placed only in countries where homosexuality is not criminalized.

"The Peace Corps will foster safe and productive assignments for same-sex couples and provide them with guidance for maintaining their safety and well-being," said Shira Kramer, press director at the Peace Corps.
