Two-time
featherweight champion Orlando Salido defeated Orlando Cruz in the
world featherweight title match last Saturday night. Cruz, who became the
first active professional boxer to come out as gay last October, was
knocked out in the seventh round. "I went into the corner and he hit me
with a good shot," Cruz said afterward. Cruz and his team wore
rainbow-colored clothing to the match, which was the first title contest
of Cruz's 13-year professional career.
