Free family dance party at Shine: "Dance, Baby, Dance" - observing One Billion Rising

LOCAL Theater Company joins forces with Shine Restaurant & Gathering Place (2027 13th Street in Boulder) to host the 3rd annual “Dance, Baby, Dance!” - a free, family-friendly dance party featuring DJ Savior Breath and a peacemaking activity led by Merlyn C. Holmes of Boulder Ki Aikido in observance of One Billion Rising Revolution. The event will be immediately followed by the OBR Boulder flash mob on the Pearl Street Mall. FREE. Just show up!

The party is one of thousands of events happening across the globe in observance of One Billion Rising Revolution, a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet are beaten or raped in their lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than one billion women.
