Resolution on anti-LGBT discrimination introduced by House Democrats

Rep. Jared Polis was one of the Democrats in the House of Representatives who, on Monday, introduced a resolution urging protections against LGBT discrimination.

"When intolerance occurs anywhere, everyone has an obligation to take a stand, and Congress doesn't get a waiver on that," said Rep. Steve Israel, chairman of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. The lawmakers are expected to introduce a comprehensive civil rights bill this spring.
