Derek Bishop — Taffy

Indie-Queer rocker, Derek Bishop, is back with a brand new music video for his über-catchy single “TAFFY”. It’s a hypnotic, psychedelic visual treat, with Bishop bouncing around in an assortment of stylish duds, jamming on some groovy vintage gear. The song speaks to being “pulled in all directions” – but the music and visuals are insanely tight, and leave you tapping your toes, singing along by the second chorus.

The sound is early-80's synth-pop, but the video was inspired by vintage 1960's album covers. Bishop, who moonlights as an art director on Broadway, put his design background to use filming and directing the video himself using his iPhone. "I wanted the video to look like a catalog of retro albums and posters flowing together, with each scene serving as its own little graphic moment. I didn't have an assistant, so I was running back and forth behind and in front of the camera. It was a little hectic to say the least."

Taffy is the third single from Derek's album "Bicycling in Quicksand" and is available on itunes and Amazon.
