IMAGINE 2020 District Challenge: District 4 Denver Tells its Tales on the Tails of Fish

As part of the IMAGINE 2020 District Challenge, renowned Chilean-born artist Lorenzo Martinez and Denver City Council District 4 announce several community creation workshops to construct locals’ versions of a paper fish that show their country or place of origin, and also shares their story. There will be four hosted workshops and the completed fish will be set as an art installation in each of the four locations with a QR code linking people to a video overview of the project highlighting several members of the community along with their stories. Facebook live videos and posts will also be shared with the hashtag #DenverArtWeek and #DenverFish. These workshops will be held on Nov. 3, 5 and 6 with a Facebook live virtual tour taking place on Nov. 7 and the QR code launching on Nov. 8. Workshop locations include Hampden Branch Library, Ross University Hills Branch Library, Pembrooke on the Green and Thomas Jefferson High School. Click here to find out more about this event.
