All-Star Jazz Quartet Lao Tizer Comes to the Lakewood Cultural Center

The all-star jazz quartet Lao Tizer delivers an explosive mix of jazz, rock, classical, funk and world rhythms at the Lakewood Cultural Center at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 12.

 

The Jazz Group of the Year nominee makes its Lakewood debut in support of its recent Billboard Jazz Top 10 CD/DVD combo-pack release, “Songs from the Swinghouse.”

 

Led by Boulder native, keyboardist, composer and former Best New Jazz Artist nominee Lao Tizer (Special EFX, Down To The Bone), the group also features local favorite and saxophonist/flutist extraordinaire Nelson Rangell (GRP Records, Earl Klugh), Grammy-winning drummer Gene Coye (Larry Carlton, Terence Blanchard) and renowned bassist Anthony Crawford (Erykah Badu, Justin Timberlake).

 

“A robust mix of originals and covers that incorporates grooves from across the musical spectrum” (JAZZIZ), this is a memorable evening of original jazz and more not to be missed!
