Denver Zoo to Take Over State Capitol for Earth Day

On Earth Day (April 22, 2022), Denver Zoo will host its annual “Zoo Day at the Capitol” to engage Colorado legislators in its wildlife conservation efforts. 

Governor Polis, First Gentleman Marlon Reis and members of the Colorado Senate and House of Representatives will meet some of the Zoo’s wild resident Animal Ambassadors, and learn about how the Zoo is working to save wildlife in Colorado and around the world. Media will have the opportunity to gather photos/video of legislators interacting with Zoo staff and animals, and interview Zoo representatives and executives starting at 8 a.m.
