One Colorado: 2022 Colorado LGBTQ+ Election Recap

By Garrett Royer, Deputy Director, One Colorado

The results aren't fully calculated across the state yet, but we know the 2023 legislative session has the potential to be very impactful, with pro-equality candidates at all levels of our state government.
Thank you!!

Thank you for taking your pride to the polls and voting all the way down your ballots!

Thank you to all our incredible One Colorado volunteers and financial supporters across the state! Your active participation in GOTV efforts - text and phone banking, postcard writing, door knocking - helped us reach hundreds of thousands of pro-equality voters to ensure all LGBTQ+ Coloradans and our families have a strong voice in the legislature.

Want more insight into the election? Catch the OneCO Team on Insta Live this Friday, November 11th at 3:30pm MT for a full election recap! We'll be discussing all things 2022 midterms - and what comes next.
Congratulations!
We are proud to congratulate Governor Jared Polis on his re-election! Governor Polis made history as an LGBTQ+ candidate in 2018, and will continue to serve Coloradans as the only out gay man to be elected governor in the U.S.

Additionally, we are seeing more pro-equality candidates win in every corner of the state and look forward to working alongside them in 2023.
There's more to do:
You can continue to advocate for LGBTQ+ equality and make your voice heard by urging the State Board of Education to restore the revisions to Colorado's academic standards so all students have access to an honest, inclusive, and comprehensive education. Tomorrow, Nov. 10th in Denver, the board will vote on the social studies standards to implement across the state.

Consider a contribution today to ensure we have the resources to fuel our efforts to protect and advance equality for LGBTQ+ Coloradans during the next legislative session.
