Although she has yet to graciously congratulate her opponent, Betsy Markey, on her win, Colorado loser Marilyn Musgrave (pictured) finally made the first public remarks since her defeat a month ago --on a robo-call for Georgia Sen. Chambliss, who unfortunately won his runoff election.

She blamed her loss on "leftist special interests" - she probably means all of us gay people who she fought against for so long with her Federal Marriage Amendment.

Oh, and Tim Gill.

Hurray for Tim Gill!

Cheer up, Marilyn.

Gay people still can't get married in Colorado and now they can't get married in California, either.

So much for the power of "special interest" groups.

Maybe you just lost to a better candidate.

Maybe it had something to do with being one of the most corrupt members of congress.

And maybe it was a little from Column A and a little from Column B.

The GLBT community won some and lost some this past election day.

Here's the good news.

Jared Polis (pictured) became the first openly gay man elected to Congress as a non-incumbent. Cograts Jared! And that horrible, horrible Marilyn Musgrave finally went down.

About time.

Republicans giving up on Musgrave?

Rumor has it that the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is pulling the plug on funds for the Marilyn Musgrave campaign, leaving her stranded a week before the election with challenger Betsy Markey hot on her heels.

I guess what goes around, comes around.

Marilyn, sometimes when you try to take away things from other people--like, for example, their rights--things eventually get taken away from you--like campaign funds.

It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person.

Anyway, Grampa Force is real lucky I wasn't the guy holding the microphone or there would have been some old fogeys tossed all over Main Street that day.

Defeat Marilyn Musgrave

Have you ever said to your self “I wish there was some way to defeat Marilyn Musgrave?”

Well, here is your chance!

The Markey for Congress campaign is heading up a program to mail thousands of pieces to voters and they need volunteers in Denver to assist in the unloading, bundling, bagging, tagging and loading large mail pieces. The bulk of the volunteers (8-12) will be meeting at a "Mail House" in Denver to process the mailings which will then be "dropped" by truck at the USPS General Mail Facility (53rd and Quebec - near old Stapleton) that day (one volunteer needed to assist with delivery). The mail house staff will train and supervise all volunteers. The pieces will support Markey for Congress.

They will be targeting time period is approx. 11am to 3:30pm for the "mailhouse processing" portion and one volunteer is needed for one volunteer to company the mail to the USPS facility to help unload the pallets,etc. which occurs, usually, 3:30-5pm.

This program saves a great deal of money by allowing reduced postage costs and touches hundreds of thousands of voters. Rarely does a volunteer have the opportunity to have more impact.
