Denver ELEMENT and Tracks Join Forces for The Red Party
Conceived as a dance party to celebrate how far the gay community has come in the fight against AIDS, the fabulous DJ Nina Flowers will be providing the music for The Red Party and you will be providing the positive energy and your very finest ropa de color rojo (that means you should wear red clothes).
“We’ve made some really great advances but the epidemic is not yet over,” said ELEMENT’s Steve D’ascoli. “Red Party is a celebration for everybody to come out and show their support and celebrate how much we’ve accomplished. And all the funds raised will go to Denver ELEMENT and our programs.”
Part of The Mile High Council on Behavioral Health, Denver ELEMENT provides programs and services for Denver-based men who love men. Denver Pique is a social group for 18-24 year olds, Positive Impact is an intervention for gay, HIV-positive injection drug users, and Mile High Recovery Project is a substance abuse treatment program for gay men.

Denver PrideFest 2012: Climax - The Official After Party of Denver PrideFest
The Official After Party for Denver PrideFest 2012, you weren't done with Pride until you reached Climax - the rooftop party held every Sunday at Vinyl. They had four levels of music, dancing, hot guys and gals, go go dancers, and much, much more!
"This year broke all the records," said DJ Tatiana who, along with CafeVivid.com, presents the event. "We had way more people than we were expecting. Lines around the block. We had 20 different DJs spinning every kind of music you can imagine. To be able to have four different floors with four different atmospheres - one floor Latin music, the next house and electro and the next '80s and '90s or Hip-Hop is so special.
But the most special part about the after party is the diversity of the crowd that came out. A wonderful mixture of men and women of all ages and all different races. These beautiful people are who and what our community is and to have them all coming together under one roof is very special."

Submit your nominations for the Denver Style Awards, judged by Mondo Guerra and Nina Flowers!
A highlight of the Denver Style Expo will be the presentation of the first annual Denver Style Awards. Presented in seven categories, the awards will address a broad range of local talent.
You can nominate your favorites (or yourself!) online now at www.denverstyleawards.eventbrite.com - but you'd better hurry because today's the last day to do so. Once the nominees have been tallied, and the final ballot has been created, an expert panel of judges, including Mondo Guerra, Nina Flowers, and 'Shear Genius' contestant Charlie Price, will decide the winners in each category. People’s Choice awards will be presented separately.

RuPaul's Drag U - Nina Flowers and the rest of the girls are back to school ya!
I'm not in love with the concept (the girls of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' give 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy'-style makeovers to frumpy straight women) but it will be nice to see Denver's own Nina Flowers and other fan-favorites like Jujubee and Ongina back on the boob-tube any way we can get them.
Take a sneak peek at the first episode of 'RuPaul's Drag U.' School's in session on July 19, only on Logo.

Drama Queen! Nina Flowers' Drama Drag a huge success
Drag is officially back in Denver. The premiere of Nina Flowers' new show Drama Drag was a smash hit last Friday at Tracks.
Sez doorman Nathan, "It's just packed. I can't believe it. I love it."
Nina's girls included Felony Misdemeanor, Angel Fairfax, and Keyla Gaytan.
Nina Montaldo, one of Denver's reigning queens, was there to take in the show and give it her blessing. "Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous," she said. "I can't wait for the next show."
(Sidenote: I somehow neglected to bring a pen with me to take notes so thanks to Tracks' Donavan for the loan of his. Isn't he adorable?)
Unfortunately my pictures of the show itself kind of suck (that's Nina Flowers' pert, round ass in the pink vinyl up top) but it was fabulous and a wonderful time was had by all. The place was jam packed and Nina and the girls really turned it out. After the show, the girls mingled and everybody in the crowd clamored to get a photo taken with them. It was all very glamorous.
The next Drama Drag takes place April 24. One by one Nina will be bringing all of the girls from 'RuPaul's Drag Race' out to party and first up is Miss Victoria "Porkchop" Parker (pictured left). Should be a great time.
