Telluride Gay Ski Week 2023 Dining Guide

Telluride Gay Ski Week's 2023 Dining Guide showcases the Telluride dining partners that support the LGBTQ+ community.

Telluride Gay Ski Week's dining partners are an instrumental component of the event experience and are carefully selected for good reasons – TGSW believes in them and their alignment with the LGBTQ community. They believe in us.

These are the restaurants that make Telluride great. Such special places are destined to draw special people. That list includes some of the country’s most celebrated chefs, many of who now call Telluride home. Whether you’re looking for a fresh pizza, foie gras, or free-range steak, this is a collection of restaurants that get our mouths watering just thinking about them.

Telluride Gay Ski Week Returns for 2022!

Telluride Gay Ski Week was founded in 2002. Since then, it has been a week to look forward to for participants and locals alike. When director Rosie Cusack took over the reins of Telluride Gay Ski Week in 2016, she was sure to create a carefully orchestrated schedule of entertainment, which ups the fun: opening-day party, daily après ski, pool parties, late-night lounge happenings, with events extending well into the morning hours, including the signature White Party and much more.

Historically, Telluride Gay Ski Week has coincided with Telluride Aids Benefit fashion show gala, an event run by TAB who is “dedicated to fighting HIV/AIDS by raising awareness and generating financial support for prevention programs and client care.”

Dining and Nightlife
Such a special place is destined to draw special people. That list includes some of the country’s most celebrated chefs, many who now call Telluride home. Truth is, you sort of work up an appetite here, and whether you’re looking for a fresh pizza, foie gras, or free-range steak, Telluride's got a collection of restaurants that get our mouths watering just talking about them.

Condé Nast readers ranked Telluride in their Top 20 List of Best American Cities for Foodies. And Fodor’s ranked Telluride in the Top 10. Imagine how far up the list they’d be if you took the actual “cities” off that list. Telluride is also a town known for playing hard, and that doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. In fact, USA Today ranked us Top 5 Ski Resorts for Nightlife. Wander Main Street for some saloon hopping, catch some live music, or tuck into a wine bar and enjoy our friendly, festive atmosphere for yourself. You are encouraged to visit the online version of the Telluride Dining Guide to explore all of the excellent options that Telluride and Mountain Village have to offer.

Totally Wasted: A conversation with Nuclia Waste

A conversation with Nuclia Waste
by Drew Wilson

Denver's drag diva Nuclia Waste premieres a new monthly show at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret tonight called Nuclia Waste: Totally Wasted.

I had the opportunity to chat with the Princess of Plutonium to find out a little bit about the show as well as her New Year's Resolutions for 2011 and her naughty naked plans for Telluride Gay Ski Week.

Drew: Hey Nuclia, what can we expect from your "one woman show" at Lannie's?
Nuclia Waste: You can expect to squirt a martini out your nose. Several in fact. The show chronicles the up and down career of my life as a crazy diva, from flight attendant to soap opera star. Then I poke fun at famous divas throughout history.

Who are the divas you most admire and why?
Cher, because she has made herself timeless. Lady Gaga, because she puts fun and creativity into being a diva. Sarah Palin, because....oh, wait. I despise her. Never mind.

What are your fondest memories of 2010?
If I did not drink so many martinis, I would have lots of fondest memories. Curse you, Absolut.

What is your New Year's Resolution for 2011?

I resolve to say yes when Prince William asks me to marry him. Oops, too late. Damn that Kate Middleton.

I hear you're once again involved with Telluride Gay Ski Week. What can we look forward to this year at TGSW?
This year I will be leading a tour out to the clothing optional Orvis Hot Springs. So look forward too hot naked boys and cold winter skiing.
