Nice to See StevieB: Procrastinate
By StevieB
I have only three hundred more words to write on my first of three term papers. As I sat at the dining room table today, I saw the end in sight. Yet, it is a rough and tumble three hundred to still complete. There is not much more I can say on Philosophy from a Feminist perspective. So far, I’ve purchased two pair of jeans from Amazon, Googled “Pedant T-shirts/floppy gym shorts,” changed the bed linens, completed three loads of laundry, Oh…. and wrote this blog post. So sue me if it goes astray.
If I don’t complete the three hundred words, I will be forced to cancel a lunch plan I had with a very sexy boy. So…. really, I should be exploring Feminist Philosophy…..
…I really like the Levi jeans that have the longer back pockets. So, I bought some pairs. On line. Guess I see how they fit when they arrive, I am concerned for the D-bag factor. Or the "over forty year old attempting to dress like a twenty-five year old" because that could easily be the case. Welcome, one an all to StevieB's midlife crisis.
Oh, I got new Pumas. I have really stopped counting how many pairs of running shoes I own. I do know that I’m out of closet space and I now need to keep Pumas in my oven.
Alright, back to writing…. wish me luck.

Pet Portraits By Maurice Becnel
Immortalize your furry friends with a pet portrait by Maurice Becnel. Clients admire Becnel's
ability to capture the essence of a pet's personality in his work.
Says Becnel, "Painting animal portraits, for me, is more fun than it is work. I began painting them several years ago. The first one I did was for a friend on her birthday. Because it was a gift it never dawned on me that other people would commission me to do more. Word got out and before I knew it more and more of the emails I was receiving from my website were going to the dogs! And cats!"

Good Chemistry – Denver’s Gay-Friendly Dispensary
GoodChemistry, Denver’s gay-friendly dispensary, is guided by four core principles:
SCIENCE – Good Chemistry believes that
Cannabis has significant therapeutic benefits and work to support and expand
its study.
ACCESS - Good Chemistry believes that
many barriers exist which fundamentally restrict access to safe reliable
medical grade cannabis and search for meaningful ways to remove them.
DIGNITY - Good Chemistry believes in
the fundamental and inalienable right of a person to choose their medical
treatment. Recognizing that often patients who take cannabis are subjected to
unfair treatment under the law, Good Chemistry is committed to defending and
protecting the rights of their patients.
COMPASSION - Good Chemistry recognizes
that medical cannabis is a potent and effective medicine for many patients who
cannot afford it and is dedicated to providing for those in need.

Tranifesto: Binding Blues and Peeing Problems
By Matt Kailey
A reader writes: “I’m in high school (Junior), but am very open about my gender identity (cross dress, bind, etc). At this point there isn’t a whole lot I can do about hormonal treatment or surgery. So instead I try to do what I can, at my age. I bind, as mentioned, and use a commercially available binder.
“It has been fine, but lately I’ve gotten a lot of pain, difficulty breathing, and nasty bruising on my rib-cage. I wear it too often as it is (about 12 to 14 hours a day, nearly every day), so I know the best thing to do would be to just stop wearing it so much.
“Unfortunately, this is a problem for me as my gender dysphoria has also gotten much more severe as of late (and includes thoughts of self-harm and things we don’t need to get into). It’s a difficult trade-off for me to consider – wear it less and hopefully not end up with a serious injury in the hospital and cause my dysphoria to be that much worse (which, when paired with my depression, anxiety, and raging teenage hormones can be a serious and kind of terrifying problem), or continue doing what I can to suppress (no pun intended) my dysphoria and likely end up in the hospital.
“My mother doesn’t take my depression or dysphoria seriously (it took her witnessing one of my most violent panic attacks to convince her to let me see the school therapist), so advice from her doesn’t help (especially when she doesn’t offer any).
