Trial begins today for Kate Burns and Sheila Schroeder. The women applied for a marriage license at the Denver Clerk and Recorder's office and, when the license was denied as they knew it would be, the engaged in a sit-in until the office closed at 5 p.m.. The women were then arrested and charged with trespassing.
