Working With Artists: News for Denver's Photographic Community

WWA is hosting a peer-to-peer perusal of portfolios in the Den at Working with Artists! The portfolio reviews will be an informal critique time for you to get feedback on your work from professionals, instructors, students and fellow photography junkies. The Den is WWA affectionately refers to studio "D" a few doors down from the gallery. These reviews will be held every time WWA has an opening in the Flash gallery, roughly every six weeks or so. The first one being on February 8 with the opening of ther non-juried February show, "Inter-Course: The Language of Love."

WWA has also created an online photo group on Flickr, so you can post images from classes and gallery shows for all of us and our community of photographers to see. The group will allow WWA and you and everybody to both see your work AND interact with you by discussing your work online.

Last but not least, the Denver Month of Photography is quickly approaching! For the month of March every gallery in the city, most of the museums and every available bus stall poster will be filled with photography. It will be a good month to be a photo enthusiast in Denver! The reason for this madness is that the Society for Photographic Education (SPE) is holding their 2008 national conference here in Denver.
