The Colorado Rapids, in conjunction with the Denver Poker Tour, are pleased to announce the 1st annual Rapids Poker Tournament at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. This inaugural event will feature a No-Limit, Texas Hold-Em format for a maximum of 220 players and will take place Sunday, September 14th in combination with the Rapids match versus the Chicago Fire.
The tournament is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. and will run through the completion of the Rapids match. There is no entry fee required to participate, however, a suggested donation of $20 to the Colorado Rapids Community Care Foundation will be accepted upon entry to the stadium that day. All participants will be given a complimentary ticket for the Rapids game and additional tickets for families and friends will be available at a discounted rate. This game is expected to sell out so we strongly recommend that additional ticket purchases be made in advance of the event.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers including autographed Rapids memorabilia, a luxury suite night for the winner and 15 guests, free 2009 Rapids season tickets and more!
