Erection2008.com is a new promotional website that showcases irreverent political humor and hilarious videos of porn-stars answering off-color political questions.“With the upcoming presidential election being first and foremost on the mind of our country, we knew that it was a great opportunity for Pink Visual and Yappo to do something fresh, funny and maybe just a little bit irreverent,” says Kim Kysar, Brand & Product Manager for Pink Visual.
"The whole idea came about as a joke going around the office and then it just skyrocketed," laughs Kate Sylvan, Marketing Coordinator for PV. "We had everyone in the office submit funny questions we could ask the girls and then we sent the questions off to our producer who did the interviews on set while the girls were in the make-up chair. Their responses to the questions turned out to be priceless!"
"Once we saw the footage we knew we had to share it. We began by posting the videos on YouTube and then following up by building the Erection 2008 site in order to both showcase the videos and use the site for promotional purposes," explains Liam Collins, Product Manager for Yappo. “We think Erection 2008 is an idea rife with potential to not only have fun but also to further brand exposure. On that note, we would like to extend an open invitation for Yappo’s partner studios to submit similar videos for the site.”
"One terrific benefit to Erection2008.com is that the site doesn't feature any nudity, so we are able to promote it through mainstream avenues that are typically off limits to our hardcore sites," adds Sylvan.
As to whether the comedic twist will convert to sales; that has yet to be seen. "We're just going to ride it out and see where it goes," says Sylvan. "At the very least it will give everyone a good laugh!"
Porn stars featured on Erection2008.com include Evan Stone, Vivid's Nikki Jayne, Sammie Rhodes, Claire Dames, Kylie Reese, Jordan Kingsly, Kayden Moore, and Chastity Lynn.
