New Music: Carrigan

Formed in the idyllic hills of northern Vermont, Carrigan has evolved from wall-of-guitar inflected instrumental experimentation to vocally driven songwriting over washes of atmospheric textures, orchestrated samples, and progressive rhythmic structures. Singer and musical architect Zack Martin gives you a dark, eccentric glimpse into the back-corners of his psyche.

When not creating scores to such film and media pieces as The Way We Get By (in production) and India: A New life (PBS), Martin is holed-up in his Providence, RI based home-studio, crafting the next luminous masterpiece.

Young Men Never Die, formerly self-released, is the debut full-length from Carrigan in-stores November 18, 2008. Prepare to be enlightened as Carrigan gives you a taste with their exclusive digital single titled Sunshine Through the Waves, now available on iTunes.

Carrigan recorded over several years in a variety of environments and spaces throughout the city of Burlington, VT. With a perfectly orchestrated collection of songs woven together with seamless soundscapes, Carrigan gives you a record to be unconditionally embraced from front to back.
