Election eve special with 'Sex in the City's' Cynthia Nixon tonight on 'The Agenda'

Former George W. Bush Press Secretary and Obama endorser Scott McClellan as well as Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon will headline a special Election Eve edition of “The Agenda with Joe Solmonese” on Monday evening, the Human Rights Campaign announced today.

In a pre-taped interview with Producer Michael Cole, Cynthia Nixon – best known for her role as Miranda Hobbes on HBO’s Sex and the City – compared the 2004 election to this year’s campaign saying:

“In 2004 it was so awful the way gay people were used as the wedge… and I just feel like it’s our chance as gay people to really come out in numbers… I want to say, ‘last time we were the wedge but this time we’re going to be the edge.’”

The entire interview will air during the program Monday, November 11, 2008 from 6 – 8 pm eastern live on XM channel 155 and will be posted on the show’s website tomorrow at The Agenda.

The full guest list for tonight’s program includes: former George W. Bush Press Secretary and Obama endorser Scott McClellan, Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon, comedian Kate Clinton, The Advocate’s Editor-in-Chief Jon Barrett, Boston Globe columnist Ellen Goodman, Center for the Advancement of Women President Faye Wattleton and pollster Scott Huffmon.
