-The Rapids begin the season with four of their first five matches on the road.

-MLS’s newest expansion team, Seattle Sounders FC, come to Colorado on May 23.

-Colorado’s biggest and best fireworks show will be back for a 14th edition when the Rapids host the Chicago Fire on July 4th.

-A tough stretch of three matches in nine days from September 18-23 is highlighted by home-and-away contests against the San Jose Earthquakes, which take place directly after rubber matches with Toronto FC

-For a third straight year, the Rapids will play their Rocky Mountain Cup rivals Real Salt Lake in the season finale, scheduled for October 24 this year in Utah.
