Smoking tax increase takes effect on April 1

The smoking tax is increasing beginning April 1, and while that doesn't affect me personally, my chain-smoking friend Matt Kailey tells me that cigarette prices are already increasing in stores and that, in a week, it will be almost prohibitive to smoke for anyone who didn't get an AIG bonus. In fact, it may hit the GLBT community even harder, because our community has a larger percentage of smokers than mainstream society does. So if it's time for you to quit, log on to Smoke Free GLBT Colorado for info.
