Before his death in 1997, Colorado’s favorite transplant, John Denver, was one of the top recording artists in history, selling more than 60 million albums. John Denver first performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 21, 1972 – four months before 'Rocky Mountain High' blew onto the charts. Throughout the years he gave 16 more concerts at Red Rocks, the last show being in the summer of 1989.
This coming summer, 20 years later, the songs of John Denver will rise again at Red Rocks Amphitheatre through the music, spirit and talent of singer/songwriter Roy Rivers and his band as they perform John Denver - The Tribute.
