Reconsidering Harvey Milk Day?


Out California state Sen. Mark Leno is among lawmakers and advocates citing the awarding of a Presidential Medal of Freedom to the late Harvey Milk as reason for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to reconsider his decision opposing a day honoring the LGBT-rights pioneer in public schools. Schwarzenegger, saying that Milk should be recognized only in his native San Francisco, last year vetoed a measure that would have designated May 22 as Harvey Milk Day.
