The House is likely to schedule hearings in spring of next year on a repeal of the military's gay ban, according to the measure's chief sponsor, U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Pa (pictured left).
The bill has 166 co-sponsors, with an additional 10 House members prepared to vote in favor of it, Murphy said.
