The Center reports a record number of youths having visited Rainbow Alley in February of this year - 741 visits, up from an average of about 650 a month. In March, staff and youth have been holding Education 4 Action workshops, which are meant to teach youth real-world skills and organizing strategies, and some of the Rainbow Alley youth have been working hard on an original play, which will be presented next month.
The Alley is a drop-in center designed to support LGBT youth and their allies ages 12-21. It provides a warm and welcoming environment for the youth to be themselves.
