Things to do in Denver when you're gay: Celebrate Andy Warhol's Birthday tonight at First Friday!

Today is Andy Warhol's birthday and Denver's Art District on Santa Fe is celebrating in a big, big way ... with Warhol-themed events throughout the 50+ gallery district all evening.
Already home to the largest First Friday Art Walk in the nation, Santa Fe Drive is pulling out all the stops on August 6, as an homage to one of the art world's most beloved icons and influences.

Admission is free and open to the public and planned events include:
WARHOLOVE: a juried open show
at Niza Knoll Gallery, 915 Santa Fe
curated and juried by Dana Cain
organizer of the Denver Modernism Show.
Show runs August 6 - 29.
Exploding Santa Fe InevitableAfter-Party at Space Gallery, 9pm - midnight
with Velvet Underground cover band, silver Mylar balloons, Warhol-themed art, and more.
Hosted by Chris Kieft and Space Gallery.  Music by Sweet Nothin'.
