Direct from Helsinki, Finland, full of grit, drone and distortion, the hypnotically groovy drums-bass-synth trio K-X-P are traveling stateside this week for their North America debut. Comprised of Timo Kaukolampi (best known for his production and co-writing work with Annie) on electronics and vocals, Tuomo Puranen on bass, and Tomi Leppanen on drums, they’ll play select shows in New York, including a support slot opening for Serena-Maneesh in Brooklyn, a stop off at the Empty Bottle in Chicago, and the Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles. Dates and venues are below. K-X-P’s self-titled debut was released this past July on Smalltown Supersound.
