Gill Action Fund promises 'more stick, less carrot' for marriage equality opponents

Fight Back New York spent $790,0000 to help unseat New York state legislators who voted against marriage equality, a tactic that organizers say anti-equality politicians can expect more of in the future.

"In the past, the [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] community has been more carrot, less stick. Now I would say, 'Have stick, will travel,'" said Bill Smith, the deputy executive director of the Colorado-based Gill Action Fund.
